Gnocchi

This is Nona's classic Italian Gnocchi recipe. There are two different options for topping it; Tomato sauce or homemade Parmesan Sauce. The instructions for making the Parmesan Sauce are also included here.

Be warned, this recipe tends to take a couple of hours to make!

  1. Mash potatoes, then add all remaining Gnocchi ingredients and mix.
  2. Roll dough out on floured table into thin 1" rope, and slice into about 3/4" slices.
  3. Cook pieces in salted water, remove as they float to the top.
  4. Toss gently with tomato sauce or Parmesan Sauce (instructions below)
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Instructions (Parmesan Sauce)

  1. Melt butter
  2. Add all remaining ingredients
